Why the name Levity?
We knew our name was going to be Levity Breakfast House almost immediately after we toured the charming 1920s building. We wanted to help cultivate a space for the community of Norman that is not only comfortable and homey, but also somewhere that will bring joy and lightheartedness to people’s day. Somewhere where it’s okay to show up as yourself and connect with those around you. We believe your day can always be brighter by adding a little bit of levity.
Levity is the brainchild of Jon and Mark Hunnell, who brought their dreams to life fueled by a passion for food, community, and entrepreneurship. With Jon’s expertise from his bakery and coffee business, Sconed, and Mark’s extensive experience in the food industry, they’ve created a place that’s more than just a breakfast house—it's a community hub. Originally from Portland, Oregon, they wanted to make sure to build a food and coffee program that reflects the richness of the Portland culinary culture, while emphasizing and embodying the charm of Norman.
